[TheForge] Just surfin' Milwaukee Tool and Equipment.

Mike,

I've never tried one, but our club bought a couple of HF anvils for the teaching trailer. My biggest objection to the HF anvils is the shape of the horn; it is flat on top and very stubby. I would consider it more of an anvil kit. But it's hard to beat the price! Last time I saw one at HF it was $90 for a 110# cast steel anvil.

>From the line drawings on the web page it is hard to tell the shape of the horn on the Milwaukee anvil. If you get at good look at one, I'd be interested in what you think. I didn't see prices on the web page.

Aubrey

Has any here seen or better yet used one of their anvils?
I've read the on line literature. It sounds like they fall into the
class somewhere between harbor freight and oldworldanvils, closer to the
oldworldanvils end of the spectrum.

As I sit here thinking about a newer, larger anvil, one made ten minutes
from my house intrigues me.
