........So, What are folks making for Christmas presents this year?
Three years ago I made desk lamps (tree like out of pipe) for the kids.
Two years ago was a quilt rack (for family heirloom) and a 10 foot curtain
rod assembly (to cover three windows at once)
Last year was a "coat rack'' christmas (mounted to the wall - not a stand
alone). Those went over real well !
This year is fire pokers (whimsical sword like - that are 3 feet long).
I should probably add that our kids are now 29 and 27..........so toys
aren't on the list any more now that they own their own houses........ It's
me that gets to drop hints for the water blaster and Ipod now. Proving
once again life can come full circle. :-)
I'm also trying to figure what I'll make for next year........ I was
toying with pot racks for the kitchens, or some kind of utensil holder, but
I figure you'se all would have some interesting projects to consider. You
may get some ideas from what I've done in the past as well.
I might add it really is fun to make all your presents, and when you can
actually get your wife involved in the "factory work" out there in a cold
shop........well, lets say there is this real warm fuzzy felling (like your
getting away with something).......or is that just the christmas spirit
sneaking up on me and I never realized it?? :-)
