Bruce,
The Iforge section of Anvilfire is a excellent resource for projects like
you want.
My criteria for demos was this: Must be able to sell finished product. Max
cost is $5. Must complete in less than 15 min. No welding. No grinding.
What I came up with was: Leaf, Nail, Drive in Harness/coat hook. Horseshoe
letter opener with head of horse, snake, bird or ring on handle.
The Leafs became key fobs, pot top lifters. Made the leaf and nails from
the same stick of steel Leaf first then after you draw and cut the stem
square it up and lengthen the taper to create the nail or the hook. The
leafs and nails were the main sellers followed by the hooks, Lots of
people round here with horses and pole barns, Drive in hooks did well.

> THE QUESTION:
> 1) What OTHER websites (ABANA chapters or otherwise) do you know of that

> 2) What books do you know of with such projects?

"Prometheus: I took from man expectancy of death.
Chorus: What medicine found'st thou for this
malady?
Prometheus: I planted blind hope in the heart of
him.
Chorus: A mighty boon thou gavest there to man.
Prometheus: Moreover, I conferred the gift of fire
Chorus: And have frail mortals now the flame-
bright fire.
Prometheus: yes, and shall master many arts
thereby."
