[TheForge] more welding 60xx

A couple more things about E60xx rods: They are not as sensitive to moisture
as 7018's which are changed out twice per shift because flux is hygroscopic
and the moisture affects the quality of the weld. In general use you
wouldn't notice it but critical applications require it. Store in a "hot
box". E60xx rods don't care how you treat them- they'll weld anyway and are
pretty good for most things. I have found 6013 good for welding thin
parallel pieces when a smooth weld free of slag inclusions is needed....

Arc length is more critical on 7018; has to be close- almost a "drag rod".
Just stick it to the work at an angle and it does the rest. The 6011 - 6010
needs a longer arc about the same as the rod diameter.

Jetrods like the ones we used in the ship yard are 1/4" rod with a heavy
flux which makes it 1/2" total. This is a drag rod run at high amperage,
flat position only. They make pretty welds, and the slag pops off in long
pieces leaving a slag-free weld.
