Well, the Miami summary is short - it sucked. No power for days, top of one tree blew off (now a 12' stump) and spots in the ceiling from water being driven up under the shingles at 80mph.

But, as always when things suck, Perspective rears her head - compared to the utter devastation in New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama  8(   my loss of power and a tree is nothing 

Family in N.O. is missing (my cousin), and nobody has a clue where she is. Friends in Gulfport are ok (now in Jackson) but their house is now matchsticks (and that may be understating it).

Anyone else know anything not already blasted out on the WWW?  Have to admit I'm becoming a CNN/MSNBC "video of the second" junkie.  It's kinda like watching a train wreck in slow motion!

PS - If anyone wants to help - donate to the Red Cross - they are planning something like 3-4 months+ of shelter and food for 40,000+++ people!
