I've never actually used an air hammer as big as th one I'm trying to
fix up.

I saw one of the Bergmeisters do a demo flower in one heat on a Kuhn.
The first time I got a chance to use one, I had a go and managed a
fair result despite the fact that the hammer wasn't bolted down and I
almost rocked it off its pad. I later used the same hammer when it
was properly mounted and later yet a different one of the same size in
Ontario.

The aspect that I really liked was the precise control. It only took
a novice user (me) a few minutes to learn to get precise blows of just
the desired force.

So if I were going to go out and buy something, I'd try to get a shot
at using one or both of the Kuhn knockoffs to see if they match up for
control.

FWIW,
- Mike
