I've been told that a poor man sound wall is a 2x6 wall made with 2x4's
staggered so that the side board on one side is not touching the same stud
as the side board of the other side

Am looking at a new shop location, but the neighbors will be closer and
more numerous than they are at the current shop. Does anyone have any good
sound proofing ideas? We are thinking about a straw bale building just for
the added insulation.
