Just thought I would pass this on. I am presently sporting a new deep 
scratch in my glasses. I have been working with power tools for at least 
20 years and always considered myself  a safe worker.  I was using a 
side grinder with a cutoff wheel on some brass. Well just about the time 
I was thinking I should have a face shield  that bugger exploded on me. 
Damn glad I do need my glasses ( plastic lenses but small frames.) . The 
main chunk hit my lense and has left an annoying scratch right in the 
middle to remind me. the rest luckily hit without cutting me but did 
bruise my lip.
  So if you have been doing something for years with out the right 
safety gear, think again.  never too old to learn and better not to 
learn the hard way.
