I doubt the mobile home lobby has more money than the 
trucking/transportation lobby.   I think they may even encourage it to 
keep down the competition and are definately wanting it applied to the 
NAFTA regs.  Back when I did drive a truck, don't remember that all that 
was necessary, but it would take a lot longer repsonse to list all of 
the laws that I knew we skirted then.   I can't think of any mayhem done 
by RV's ,, seems acts of vehicular mass destruction are the purvue of 
big trucks and church buses, often working in concert.   In Texas the  
one of the big differentiators was the number of axles.  Dual axle 
required CDL, single didn't.
