A way to get rid of the poison Ivy itch is to spray the affected area
with cheap hair spray.
The alcohol stings a little and the hair spray dries sealing it from air
and it wont itch for at least an hour or more.  Learned that one from
poison oak while in the service.  Our whole squadron had the itch from
war games.

I've heard about soaking poison ivy in a slacktub to make it go away
quicker. Never done me a bloody bit of good, though. Carl
