i have received numerous e-mails asking about the court date. i have
delayed replying since i did not want to type an extremely long answer.
what follows is my best short answer.

went to court last thursday, 16 sept 2004.
spent 4 more hours on the witness stand.
the lawyers started to whine about being tired.
trial continued.
status call on, 8 oct 2004, to set the next trial date.
best guess at this point is the next trial date will be sometime early
next year.
nothing get done in the courts during the upcoming holiday season. so no
chance of a trial date in nov or dec. absolutely no chance of a trial
date in oct since trial dates are scheduled months in advance.

summary:
the 8 yr legal nightmare will become a 9 yr legal nightmare.
once again that light at the end of the tunnel was an oncoming freight.
