[TheForge] Blacksmith medical cure

While demonstraiting this last weekend I had a lady bring her son over and
ask if he could put his hand in my slack bucket.  Appariently he had worts
on his hand and she beleaved that the water of a blacksmith's bucket was the
cure.  The boy wasn't real hot on the idea but at his mom's insistance he
finally put his hand in my wooden bucket.  She said that she would let me
know if it worked.  She said that her borther had been cured that way when
he was a boy.

I think a red hot poker would probably have had a better chance.

Have any of you heard of other home remidies connected to blacksmithing?
