[TheForge] Norton Anti-virus question

Dave,

What makes you so sure you want to open those e-mail attachments? The only attachments Norton deletes are infected ones. Seldom does a week go by without at least one infected email aimed at my address being intercepted. Sometimes the number is much higher. Every time I take the time to check the details, I find the catch to be a good one.

If you really want to open the attachment, I'd suggest setting Norton up to quarrantine infected files instead of automatically deleting them. Or you could simply turn off email scanning. In either case, you are playing with fire and almost guaranteed to get burned.
