What about using ceramic tumbler media? 
Is this concept so different than using broken up firebrick in the bottom of
the forge?

I'm gonna see what's it's gonna cost to send some rr spikes to the UK to 
see if it's worthwhile to work out a swap with Rich Maynard over 
there.  Otherwise I'll have to see what the local ceramic suppliers have.
