Hello all,
I tried hanging the triangle bell from different stuff and the one that
comes closest to the boot lace is some old braided nylon parachute cord I
bought years ago from the surplus store.
I tested each by hanging up the triangle, trying it, and then hanging it on
the old boot lace and trying it for comparison.
Things that don't work: an S hook made from 3/16" round steel.
Things that work, but not as well as the boot lace: picture hanging wire
(the twisted wire type), single strand twisted copper electric wire with
clear plastic insulation.
Things that sounded the best: the old boot lace, parachute cord (not sure if
it's as good as the lace), single strand of steel wire.
I went with the parachute cord for strength.  Will pick up boot laces when
I'm in town.
