At one of the early pleasure faires i showed up with  around 50 steel " 
gongs" and hung them from  timber  frames with padded  steel hammers 
thinking the customers would thoughtfully  try them out one by one and 
select one or 2 to buy. The tunings were quite random.
I was very wrong....it would end up with frienzied clots of  faire-goers 
beating frantically on them with both hands all at once...over and over.
When the faire was over it was way too late for ear protection......Pete F
