Air cylinders: Many of the older scuba tanks are galvanized- some were epoxy
coated- nasty stuff when heated. We had some smaller 5k psi ss tanks made in
France.
Aluminum reacts adversely to heat; A cave diver friend had a fancy paint job
done at a body shop; the heat lamps were hot enough to change the molecular
structure in the aluminum and when he attempted to fill it, it exploded and
caused some really traumatic injuries.
Also, be extra careful working with hydraulics- a burst line can cause
serious injury or permanent death. Shield the lines where you are working.
As mentioned earlier, danger lurks where you least expect it.
