I have got one, but haven't ever gotten around to hooking it up. Mine
is an old eutectics that came with a rectifier as well as a tig
torch. It actually came with a eutiectics welder, but I gave that to
a friend and planned to hook up the rectfier and stabilizer to my
Lincoln. They hi freq unit is called and arc stabilizer and Century
still sells one last time I looked. There is a guy who has a web page
devoted to building one as well
<http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/6160/welder/arcstarter/hf.html>
After years of looking, I have finally found someone doing a homebuilt
plasma cutter as well now.
