[TheForge] tig setup

Yeah, 100% Argon for everything tig. Steel, stainless, or bronze
alloys.
Until you get real fancy, and use helium or a helium mix. But that is
mostly for aluminum, and other special aps, which you really cant do
too well with just a stick power supply anyway.

If you havent tig welded before, scratch start is the hardest to learn,
just because in addition to learning the tig welding itself, you gotta
learn how to strike an arc without sticking the tungsten down. But once
you get that arc going, its so nice and clean, and fun to do. The
biggest drawback to this cheapie setup is the torch is just gonna be
air cooled- so when you use it for a while, it gets hot. And you may
have to take breaks and let it cool down. For casual use, its fine. For
production use, you get frustrated, but if you have work enough to be
doing production, you will hopefully have the money to buy a better
setup anyway.
