A lot. Any where from three bags per day to three bags per heat on some of
the larger pieces. The bags were pretty big, too; about four times the size
of a standard coal bag. I think we burned a total of about 16 bags during
the project.
In the morning the charcoal consumption was pretty amazing, but as the whole
unit became saturated with heat, the work pieces got hot much more quickly.
Not the sort of forge you want to fire up just for one piece of work, but
the small forge that my helpers brought didn't work at all...
