finally another voice of reason crying out in the wilderness.

what you write about are called by lawyers 'shrinkwrapped' release of
liability agreements/contracts/etc. just like most 'shrinkwrapped'
software end-user license agreements they would not hold up in
court.

insurance companies love them because they can use the 'shrinkwrapped'
release of liability agreements/contracts/etc to tie any litigation up
in the courts for years.
