[TheForge] Tin on Woodwright's shop

Cool! I was hoping you'd seen it Dave.

I tuned in about five minutes or so into the show and missed her affiliation
too, though from her garb, the project and references she made, I assumed
she plies her trade at a living history site.

While I don't know much about tinsmithing in particular, I am familiar with
most of the tools and processes she demoed. I was particularly taken with
just how easy she made using the edger look. She told Roy how frustrating
most (me included) find controlling an edger to be but she made it look
sooooo easy.

I was also particularly taken with her presence, so enthusiastic and upbeat.
It's not common for someone to be more upbeat and jovial than Roy. Made me
want to take a class from her or maybe just sweep up for her. Is it the
fumes from the flux or 50/50 solder? <grin>

Is there a reason she's using 50/50 instead of straight tin or another food
grade solder? Historic authenticity perhaps?

it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
