[TheForge] Interchangeable LG dies

I haven't tried the new die plates on my L G hammer yet, but I make dies for
my hydraulic press all the time.
I would suggest that you could make up a bunch of base plates that attach
to Sid's bases.
Then bolt a set of the plates in place. Next Take the top and bottom
elements of your new dies, align them together and lightly tack weld in
position.
The final step is to place the element pair in the base plate gap . hand
rotate the hammer to close the dies. Align the elements to the center of the
jaws and then weld the elements to the top and bottom plates.
I would recommend using stainless wire or rod since it has more impact
resistance.
Finally grind off your original tack and you are set to go.
