Mike,
A sulky rake is an old style horse drawn hay rake. It has a row of tines
about 6" apart that are bent into a 3' half circle. They would drag it
through the mowed hay until the rake was full and then it would be pivoted
up to dump out the hay.

This was before my time, but there are a few of them around being parted
out. The tines are about 3/8" round and are excelent for small hand tools
as well as flint strikers. If you see these at an auction or "iron in the
hat" they are worth putting a bid on.
