We tried them years ago when I was a kid.  Too much gristle if I remember 
right.

Back then, I earned my Christmas money hunting coon.  I got almost $1.00 / 
hide and $2.00 / carcass from some folks that liked to eat them.  Really 
good money considering we couldn't afford to buy batteries for the 
flashlight.  We carried a kerosene lantern and only turned on the flashlight 
to spot the coon.
