I own a small farm, and get an agricultural tax credit so long as I use
it agriculturally somehow. One of the things I looked at was running a
string of llamas, mostly for the wool. I made the mistake, however, of
asking a family selling some of their excess llama stock "how do they
taste."

I received a cold stare, then a brief lecture basically saying "llamas
are our friends. We don't eat our friends."

obBlacksmithing: Started forging my xmas presents to friends and family,
a bunch of D2 steel knives. I'm using 3/8" stock, and doing a very simple
foring under the power hammer to draw out a blade about 4" long, 1/2" wide,
and about 1/8" thick at the spine, and then forging the handle out so it
forms a little fantail. They feel good in the hand, and I get to play with
liquid nitrogen when I heat treat them!
