Ray- There are several big stocking suppliers for bronzes. That is  
several, for the whole USA. So they are not always nearby, but the  
stuff is so expensive that shipping is usually a small part of the  
purchase price.
The 4 that I know of are these- and sometimes you have to call all four  
to find the alloy and shape you want. I have done a lot of forging with  
silicon bronze, and naval bronze, and like them both. Naval is more of  
a yellow gold color, and turns a nice browney green with time.
Silicon is more dark red brown, and gets browner with time.
I have friends who have had success with aluminum bronze, but I have  
never tried it.
