I will agree that Lincoln generally has "all the
parts" laying around, but man, they sure are "dear"
(expensive). I have a 1960's vintage Lincoln High
Frequency Generator (hooks up to an AC/DC arc welder
to allow you to TIG weld). One of the little
electrical gizmos (I don't know a capacitor from a
hole in the ground) inside the unit had gone bad after
only 40 some odd years and I took it to my friendly
Lincoln repair guy. He isolated the problem, looked
up the spare part, and it was something like $180 from
Lincoln. He called me and told about it. He said he
was going to try and find the specs on the gizmo and
get it somewhere else. He did indeed. He got it at
WW Grainger for $35.
