Darrell,
Clever, but have you tried this?  Works in theory, but may not be
speedy in practice.
Also, I'd be concerned about placing a propane cylinder in a
non-explosion-proff freezer.  Could be dangerous.

You can recover all of the propane using nothing more than a hose
connected
between the two cylinders. All you have to do is put one of the
cylinders in
a freezer and leave the other one at room temp.
