[TheForge] OT new computer file transfer

Thanks to all for their suggestions.

Since I have more than one computer I need to transfer from, I really wanted 
to get a connection between the computers working rather than swapping in 
hard drives.

Because the files and transfer wizzard that comes with XP doesn't work at 
all and after 3-1/2 hours on the phone with Dell, I looked for other 
options.  My old computer had limited resources and after I had re-installed 
'98, I had even less.

Fortunaly, I was able to connect to the internet so I found a program called 
"Link Mavin" that works for systems from DOS to XP.  This program uses a 
parallel cable connection and has a nice GUI with a tree shown for both 
computers.  Connection was immediate and the transfer is happening at an OK 
speed.

Now ... back to work.
