Frosty,

Strictlly speeking by deffinition all HP is the same.

But according to Batson in his Hydrolic press plans an electric motor will
do more work when connected to a hydrolic pump than a gas engine of the same
HP raiting. I think this is mostly because of the higher RPM.  If your
application calls for lower RPMs the gas engine may give you the best
performance.

How does gas engine HP equate to 3ph. electric motor HP?
