To be fair, though, the US has adopted it somewhat out of necessity 
borne from unfortunate national nomenclature. "Canadian" or "Costa 
Rican" or "Brazilian" or even "Argentinian" rolls off the tongue so much 
easier than "United Statesian." Aren't _we_ the disadvantaged? (Again, 
political satire...)
