[TheForge] sprayer question

Thanx guys,

That's what I'm trying to check out; viscocity. It seems some of the smaller
hand held up to 1/4HP stand alone units won't do oil based paints too well.
That can be a hard one to deduce from the on-line manuals I've been seeing.
Do you think the 3/8 HP model would shoot un-thinned oil based paints? I'm
asking 'cuz one is available used locally in 'ideal' shape.
Sounds like tips wear out faster than on a plasma cutter. I'm a little leery
of cleaning procedures for oil based paints- 3000 psi and paint thinner
might make for a hell of a flamethrower. Anything else to watch out for?

HVLP is great if you have a lot of painting to do .
With the RIGHT TIP , you wont get too much overspray, and can actually use
less paint.
What is your time worth?
I have a commercial size Wagner " air coater" piston pump, and it will do
any oil based paint.
Check manual for viscosity.
