Ted's email program is configured to automaticly send out some associted
information about the email as an attachment. When it gets to TheForge or
other Lists that strip attachments, its content is stripped, but the
attachment signal comes through, letting it be known that there was an
attachment. It's annoying- I've seen several posters on various Lists with a
similar thing, but I'm not sure that anything can be done about it. It
won't, however, allow a nsty bit of code through.

As far as the html code coming through, it isn't an attachment- it's simply
a bunch of code in the message which reconstitutes itself if the recipients
browser can handle it, or appears as a bunch of geek speak if it can't. AOL
is particularly annoying with that sort of thing, but last I heard the newer
AOL programs didn't have an option for the sender to just send things out in
plain text.
