Andy,

All of the wax miniatures you've posted are works of art. Very impressive
and interesting. They seem awfully precise and accurate. Can you explain a
little about how you make them?

Dan

Two days, two more patterns...

One is an old style Peter Wright, the other a 110 # Fisher chain
maker's anvil, taken from the example in Postman's book.

The chainmaker's anvil is the most complicated one I've done sa far,
being constructed from 10 pieces, body, 2 horns, 2 feet, 4 bits on the
sides, top plate. I've not yet bored the pritchel holes.

One of these days I will actually cast them. I now have 7 little
anvils sitting on my kitchen counter. Just a few more and the next
person to come visit will be calling the nice men in the whites
coats to come for me.

There is a wild little anvil by Oaks, or some such. I guess I will
make that my next project. Beats staring at the wall, I suppose.
