It is about TIME. It too, is one of my pet peeves. Too bad that didn't get
damn Sears in this suit too. They are the folks who started it all with
their horsepower based on the stall current of their motors -- way back or
radial arm saws (woodworking). I don't know how many times I have had to
explain to friends that they need to look at the current and voltage of a
motor and not some non real horsepower claim. In Europe all motors are
rated in kw (kilowatts) which is volts x amps, they don't even talk
horsepower. It a great way to have a common rating.
