I heard that if you have the first entry in your address book   000    and
000 (worm alert)    in the display name, this will foil the programs from
actually getting into your address book and getting out names etc.

Not sure if it works, but that is how I set mine up after hearing about it.

I hate to say this, gang, but you'd better get used to this.  There are
several viruses out there that grab addresses from the address book on a
computer they have gotten to, and randomly use one address for the
recipient, and another for the sender.  They can also take these addresses
with them to the next computer they infect as part of the virus payload.
The only thing you can do about it is keep your anti-virus software up to
date, and delete the messages you get telling you someone got an infected
message from you.

If we can find a few of these people (I use the term loosely), we may be
able to take some more proactive steps.  I have in mind some red-hot tongs
and an eggbeater.

I think it is more than that, I run NAV Enterprise Ed. and checked my
updates. I am not infected by any viruses. Yet I had someone who I do not
know claim I sent them an email that was infected with a worm... I think
that this is a

spoofing virus... spoofing an email virus as the source from an address
book. I have verified I am clean and my aohell account is protected from my
PC and AOL now does Anti-Virus on all in and outgoing mail.
