It seems like all sorts of things went downhill when we replaced Personnel
departments with "Human Resources". We went from being persons, to just another
biological unit. I used to joke that we would next change it to "Simian
Resources", just to cover all bases.
But then the PHB's went quite a few steps ahead of me. The term I started
hearing only a few months ago was "organic growth" to refer to hiring more
people. Or maybe it means we do have more monkeys, dogs, mice, ... Heck, it
could also refer to mold in the company showers. "We laid off 22 workers, but
planted 30 new shrubs, so we experienced organic growth."
Just wake me in time for my feeding.
