I recently found this company on the web, The Hammer Source. Some of the
specialty stuff was pricey, but for some basic hammers, the prices were
pretty good.
I'm partial to the french pattern hammer and they have them. They're made by
Whitehouse in England. I bought a 1000gm hammer for $13.54 and a 500 gm
hammer for $8.52. Shipping cost me $7.39 for a total cost of $29.45. I got
the hammers in 2 days by FedEx. They look good. The faces are reasonably
squarish, not narrow like the Pendinghaus brand.
They have other styles also. Their website is: www.hammersource.com
They are a division of IronWood Manufacturing, Inc. and they're based in
Naperville, Illinois.
I'm looking forward to trying out my new hammers.
Have a good one.
