Except for a few real bad guy/serious criminal types most of these gun
toting fools are trying to look cool and impress the girls. Most of them
are in the proper testosterone driven age bracket. They just get in over
their heads.

My guess is that if they could be sold on the Conan thing being way
cooler than Al Capone, and therefore more likely to get them what they
are really after, they would swap the guns for the swords in a heartbeat.
