Dave, why don't you forward this to Scott Lankton?  Didn't he do some kind
of repro Viking sword a long time ago?  He arranged a lot of those Northern
European smiths for the 2002 conference, so may have some leads.
I'll point this out to Bill too, since he works in the UW system.
