Dan,

I listened to the advice with great interest, I just didn't take it, yet.
I'm now on a course to prove ya'll right. The advice was appreciated,
contemplated, and discussed at length. When the simple pipe and wrapped
strap prybar was built and tested it removed the boards well but was a bit
awkward and tended to break the 5/4 pt deckboards and my buddy wanted em
removed whole. In fact he now claims that he was trying to splain to me
using only simple pronouns all along that the pivot point needed to be at
the same vertical height as the contact point under the deck board. "That
is that!" He also wants the welds to llo smooth and ripply like on the
commercial model.

I was once right, though no one remembers about what, and that heady
experience keeps me following wild hares, and usually out of the bars.

YRMV ?
