[TheForge] Tig welder

There is a used Tig welder in the local paper at a good price.  I know
there have been a lot of improvments to Tig in the last few years.  Are
the changes that important?  Do scratch start machines have a foot
pedal  to control the heat or is that only on the new machines? Is there
anything specific I should be looking for?  My current welder is just an
AC stick and I really liked Tig when I tried a lincoln 175 at one of our
OABA meetings that was held at Lincoln's training center.
