Oh, c'mon, Andy, I'm rather surprised at you for falling for another urban
legend. If she heard such a thing, I rather doubt it was from any of the
approved curricilum, but was rather some gossip passed along by another
student. At the time, earthworms were running more than $4 per lb, and beef
appropriate for burgers considerably less. Why would McDucks _increase_
their expenses? They're trying to sell a standardized product, fast and
cheap. Check it out on an urban legend site.

While McDucks isn't my choice got gourmet dining, they do do what they do
very well, and that's to get a standardized food product into the hands of
those whose criteria for eating are that they want something fast. Don't
knock them- how often does anyone in our culture do anything well? It may
not be my preference, any more than I give a damn about which professional
athlete breaks whatever record, but I'll give anyone who strives for a goal
and achieves it respect for their accomplishment, no matter what the goal.
