[TheForge] Trailer resurrection and conversion

Well, I picked up a used but really good condition boat trailer. It's one
that' built flat with adjustable rollers. It doesn't have rollers anymore
(bolts were easy to cut with the torch), the lights have been removed, and
the long tongue has been removed and will be shortened. I took the fenders
off and ground the paint and rust off. Primed them and painted (Ford
Tractor Grey). The rest of the trailer will be painted Massey-Fergussen
tractor gray (darker than the Fore grey). I have the two sides and the
back rails of the trailer cleaned, primed and painted. Those flap disks
for the angle grinders are great for this job.

I've also gotta take the wheels off and repack the bearings. While the
wheels are off I'm gonna sand blast the wheels then prime and paint. Color
uncertain at this point. Maybe Hammered Metallic Grey, similar in color to
the M-F grey on the main members of the trailer frame?

Also picked up some 1.5" thick oak boards. All are over 8'. They will
need some trimming and I'll run them through the plane to get a smooth
upper surface and get them all the same thickness. The trailer will have
an 8'x5' bed. I'll also make sides, front end, and tailgate rails.

Mandatory Metal content: I'll have to make the brackets for the rails so
they can be removable.

What for, you ask? I need something to carry all my tail gating stuff to
the hammer-ins, don't I?

Back is killing me right now. Flexaril and Darvocet should do the trick
around bedtime.
