[TheForge] Brass/Bronze brazing question

Thanks, folks for all the good advice on repairing the cast bronze weather 
vane. I think I will do the silver solder and a riveted on patch (cleat). Andy's 
directions are really great...any fool should be able to follow them. We will 
soon find out. 

I dont think I can get away with anything really imaginitive in repairing the 
weathervane. The customer is a traditionalist.

Dave had mentioned using jb weld for the repair. Is that stuff really strong 
enough for those kind of repairs? I have used it to lock on nuts and bolts and 
over nuts on public gates so no one can get them off. I round them up and 
make them look like a large rivet head. Otherwise, there is folks in Philly that 
will unbolt and cart away everything if you dont watch 'em. I'm curious as to 
just how good some of those kinds of adhesives are.
