Rich,

 $1,560 is a lot of $$ for a forge unless that includes a brick mason's
work. You could fabricate a stainless steel firepot and buy all the other
parts for much less than that, or do some scrounging and make one out 3/8"
steel plate or a brake drum, etc for almost nothing.

 Anyone who is a member of our organization here can get help and advice
building his or her equipment and there are always welders, oxyacetylene
rigs, plasma cutters power tools, drill presses etc available,; also plenty
of talented folks to help.

Oh, wanna dbl your $$ on your fly press?
