To all,
I left the string early on and figured that there would be a rousing 
discussion of forging either the most common of materials on earth or the most rare.  
After all we are all made from the refuse of the universe.
On to the degeneration of the discussion.....
MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THE NAME OF "GOD" THAN FOR ALL OTHER REASONS 
COMBINED.
If there is a "god," which is another topic that will clog the Internet for 
days, the worst thing that man has done is create religions in his name.  The 
second group of people off the boats following the conquistadors were the 
Jesuits.  More than once they have been referred to as the "storm troopers of the 
Vatican."  Has anyone read "Hawaii" or even watched the movie of the same name 
and not felt just a little guilty about the decimation of the Hawaiian culture 
by the "good" Christian missionaries.  How do y'all think that the missionary 
position got its name?  The rest of North America and the Pacific Islands did 
not fare any better.  There was a library on Easter Island that predated the 
birth of Christ and the missionaries burned it because it was heretic 
teachings.  The native of peoples of Americas were deemed to be savages at best and 
heathens at worst.  ALL basically because they did not believe in the God of 
WASPS.  The Iroquois system of government was good enough to use as the pattern 
for the Founding Fathers.  The Puritans came to this shore to find religious 
freedom.  Of course they did not extend that privilege to others.
You can live a good life without god but it is damm hard to live one with 
god.
