Well, I'm familiar with that particular kink, and the participants are all
willing, and they have specific rules to prevent people from getting more
than they bargained for. Personally, I think the whole S&M and B&D scene is
pretty silly- amusing occasionally, and pretty boring most of the time. But,
I'd never tell anyone they couldn't/shouldn't  get into it, any more than
I'd try to tell your friends that they should sell to the participants
despite their moral qualms.

And, btw, the submissives are about equally split between men and women. Not
anything I'm interested in, but professional sports bore me silly too.

Yes, it is. You're refusing to deal with specific people, known to you to be
potentially dangerous. He's treating an entire class of person as though
they were incipient terrorists. Personally, I won't deal with anyone whose
basic attitude towards life is hatred- and that goes equally for white
supremicists, black supremicists, and Arabic supremicists. Their "sin" if
you can call it that, is treating people like objects- not as people,
deserving of respect, but as targets to be blown up and destroyed because
they're not happy with people who are different from them.

I refuse to treat people like that. If you attack me, I'll defend myself,
but I'm not going to suddenly start, say, cutting off all the drivers of
blue Chevys because some yahoo in a blue Chevy cut me off once. Instead, I'm
going to drive carefully, trying to be a good example, and avoid conflicts
with yutzes that drive like maniacs.

Similarly, instead of thinking all Arabs or Muslims are terrorists, I'm
going to think that there are some terrrorists who are Arabic or Moslems,
and file them under "terrorist" with Christian, Jewish, or whatever other
flavors terrorists come in.
