My daughter bought a new digital camera and gave me her old 
Canon Power Shot S30.  I've been thinking that I could use this 
camera to take pictures of the covers of the books that I sell for use 
in a catalog as well as a website.  I'd think the camera could take 
color as well a black and white photos with the necessary 
resolution.

I've been thinking of making a stand to hold the camera over the  
book cover to take the picture and then loading the pictures into my 
computer for use.  

I could also scan the covers with a scanner.  Guess what I'm 
interested in finding out is if using a digital camera to take pictures 
of book covers for publication in a printed catalog and on a website 
is a good application.  Thanks for your help and sorry for the 
intrusion.
